South Korean wireless carrier SK telecom Co. will host the SK Tech Summit 2023 in Seoul from November 16 to 17, where advanced technologies across SK Group will be presented.
Under the theme “AI Everywhere for a Better Future,” this year’s conference will feature 190 technologies from 17 SK Group units in six areas – artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and virtual reality, big data, blockchain, cloud, and ICT convergence, the company said on Wednesday.
Over 60 percent of the technologies will be AI-based, which underscores SK Group’s vision for growth based on AI.
The Summit will be joined by global partners, including Antropic PBC, Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS), and Google LLC, along with its local K-AI Alliance partners, including Sapeon Korea Inc., Konan Technology Inc., and Moloco Inc.
Ryu Young-sang, chair of SK’s ICT committee, will deliver an opening remark, which will be about the changes and opportunities provided by generative AI and SK Group’s strategy.
SK telecom’s Chief AI Global Officer Chung Suk-geun will provide an overview of the company’s AI technology development.
Anthropic Co-Founder and Developer of GPT-3, Jared Kaplan, AWS Solutions Architect Slavik Dimitrovich, and Google’s Vice President of Engineering Ting Liu will also deliver presentations on AI.
Sapeon Chief Executive Officer Ryu Soo-jung, will unveil the company’s next-generation AI chip, the X330. SK hynix Inc. will showcase the physical HBM3 memory solution, known for its suitability in implementing AI, graphics processing units, and supercomputers.
