Japanese cosmetics company DHC is pulling out of Korea in September after suffering sales plunge amid a years-long boycott sparked by its CEO’s racially discriminatory remarks against Koreans during the peak of political rows between the two countries. DHC Korea is selling all items at a 50% discount online until Sept. 15. Another Japanese beauty brand Shu Uemura will also close its Korean operation at the end of September after its 16-year presence in the country.
